Listed below are the requirements for becoming a Certified Trainer:
Complete the Enriching Program satisfactorily, as determined by a certified trainer.
Complete assignments to deepen relevant knowledge as needed.
Submit a written example of applying the six skills in one’s own life to a certified trainer for review and discussion.
Read and discuss the Trainer’s Manual with a certified trainer.
Submit a written lesson plan for teaching one of the six skills to a certified trainer.
Co-lead a practice group in at least one skill, write a self-evaluation and receive feedback from the group.
Submit lesson plans for all six skills to a certified trainer for review and feedback.
Lead at least two trainings and submit the participants’ evaluations to a certified trainer for review and discussion.
The designation of a certified trainer will be granted when the above requirements have been met, the approval of two certified trainers has been given and the specified fee for the certificate has been paid to the Virginia Satir Global Network.
